BubbleGumGirl?

So as for this super-hero design that relates to my quote. I made a first attempt at designing the character today, it ended up becoming a female as i felt it suited the theme more nicely than a male would. Bubble-Gum girl was the name of the character I had decided upon. When this girl chews bubble gum it makes her and only her gain special attributes which are increased strength, speed and charisma, she also carries a gun and a katana !!

I decided to look at one of Steve Ditko's piece's of work and re-draw it myself in his art style. Heres the outcome of that work.

An Idea

Upon deciding on using the duke nukem quote and the artist Steve Ditko as an artist. I thought of a possibility of working on a super-hero that rely's on bubble gum as his/her source of power.

Might be quite an interesting concept to design.

Just a drawing of Duke Nukem here since my quote is from him. I guess you could say he has that super hero appeal here also which is relevant to Steve Ditko. Also my graphics tablet was being screwy during this -_-

A possible quote?

As for choosing the game quote, i felt as if i was already quite set on one. Duke Nukem was a character i quite liked for his bold 80s style go in guns blazing, and cocky attitude along with the quote itself -

"Its time to kick ass and chew bubble gum and im all out of gum."

Evaluating this, i felt the project would be quite fun to base around this quote.

Steve Ditko - Artist

And so i started to look at Steve Ditko's work as he was one of the artists that caught my eye with his comic book artwork.

An American artist that was most famous for being co-creator of the marvel comic book heroes Spider-man and Doctor Strange

Choosing a quote and artist,,,

Looking at the list of quotes and artists and choosing one straight off the bat was a tough decision and so, the logical thing to do i thought was to narrow it down - produce some drawings until im set on one of these completley.
